UPDATE—–You can now do this ONLINE – New Online Registration Process for NYC Schools Account

Dear Lower Lab Families

Regarding the info below. The “Creation Code”  unfortunately is not something the office is able to access at this time. There is a long cue for this system at the moment.

If you are not in a testing grade (K-2)  there is no need to worry about getting this NYC Schools account in place as we can do this for you in September.

If you did not come in personally to get an account during the designated times in grades (3-5) the last weeks of school, and you are interested in finding out the ELA and MATH test scores in August when they are published. Please email Gina ggoodman@lowerlab.org (do not reply to this post). Give Gina your preferred email to access this account and Sam Chan in the office might be able to help once we get access to these creation codes….. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

NYC Schools accounts are now available and offer a new way for parents and guardians to access key information about their children. In response to feedback from schools and parents, parents will be able to register online for a NYC Schools account starting June 29 by visiting http://schools.nyc.gov/myaccount on any computer or internet-connected device and following the instructions

We invite you to register for a NYC Schools account, which provides you a new way of accessing key information about your child’s progress. With your NYC Schools account, you will be able to view your child’s attendance, report card grades, and general student information in one of ten languages on a computer, phone, or tablet.

You can register for your account from any computer or internet-connected device by following these steps:

  1. Visit http://schools.nyc.gov/myaccount and select the “Create Account” link on the login page.
  1. Enter your child’s 9-digit student ID number. You can find your child’s ID number on his or her report card. If you do not have your child’s ID number, contact your child’s school.
  1. Enter the unique Account Creation Code, which is specific to you and your child: Account Creation Code: [Code]
  1. Select “Next.”
  1. Enter and confirm your email address and password.
  1. Select “Create Account” and then select “SIGN IN” to sign in with your email and password. If you have more than one child attending a NYC public school, you will receive one letter containing an Account Creation Code for each child.

You will only need to enter the student ID and Account Creation Code for one of your children in steps 2 and 3 above to create your account. Once you create an account, you can add your remaining children by entering their student IDs and Account Creation Codes on the “Manage My Account” page.

Each Account Creation Code is unique to you and your child and should not be shared with others. If you are not the parent named in this letter, contact your child’s school or call 311 for assistance on accessing your child’s records. We hope that your NYC Schools account provides a valuable way for you to participate in your child’s education.

We invite you to visit http://schools.nyc.gov/nycschools for more information. If you have questions about your account, contact your child’s school or call 311.

If you need assistance creating your account in a language other than English, contact your school’s language access coordinator or parent coordinator. Sincerely, Principal
