We are pleased to announce the schedule for Parent Teacher Conferences. Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, March 3, 2016 for grades K-5. This is an opportunity to reinforce parent-school relationships that will lead to a dynamic partnership, which is necessary to ensure the educational success of each student. Be aware that this will be a half-day for all students. Students will be dismissed at 11:25 am.
Conferences will be scheduled on Thursday, March 3rd from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and from 4:30 pm to 7:30pm. Conference appointment times are for ten minutes only, so it is imperative that you be on time. You will be contacted by your child’s classroom teacher to set up an appointment.
Fifth grade teachers, Claudia Coia and Leslie Blaustein, will also hold conferences on Friday, March 4th during school hours so that all fifth grade parents can confer with Claudia and Leslie together. Fifth grade Parent-Teacher conferences on Friday, March 4th will be held in Room 137. Please note that Friday, March 4th will be a full-day of school for fifth graders; per diem subs will be provided in order to accommodate additional conference times.
Specialists, including Katarina Klaf-Science (Rm. 143), Michelle Liss-Art (Rm. 241), and Mike Goodman- Physical Education (Rm 235) will be available during conference hours on Thursday should you choose to conference with them. Please email Gina Goodman if you are interested in scheduling an appointment with Carol Dolgon (Music K-5th). Elana Hoffman will also be available during conferences on Thursday should you choose to meet with her. Parent-teacher conferences are an excellent time for teachers to share individual goals for student progress and for you, as parents, to share any specific concerns regarding your child’s educational experience.
