RMH Drive 2016-3

February 23, 2016 The 20152016 Student Council is excited to lead our annual service project The Ronald McDonald

House Parent Pantry Drive.

The Ronald McDonald House of New York is a home away from home for families from across the country and around the world while their children are being treated at New York City Hospitals. Although families pay a nominal fee to stay there, they are still faced with costs for the purchase of food, paper goods, and other products while they are there. Some of the children’s illnesses require them to remain for months at a time.

The drive will take place from Monday February 29th through Friday April 1st. We will be collecting items to stock the pantry (paper goods and other necessities) for the families living there. Each grade is assigned a few items (see list below). Please do not bring in food items to donate. Our goal is for each student and staff member to bring in one item to contribute; of course, the more items the better though! We thank everyone in advance for participating; we are excited to help out with such a worthy cause!

All items will be collected in large blue IKEA bags in each classroom (provided by The Ronald McDonald House). Other storage containers/spots will be specified as bags fill up
