Physical Education in January

Dear families,

Welcome back from vacation! I hope your children were physically active over the break. In January, all grade levels with continue practicing muscular strength and muscular endurance activities. Some of these activities include: Squats, Lunges, Leg Lifts, Planks and push-ups. In grades 3 through 5, students will participate in fitnessgram assessments such as the curl-up and trunk lift.

In addition, we will discuss the importance of setting fitness goals when participating in physical activity. Here are the essential questions below:


In the lower grades, students will pratice a variety of locomotor and eye-hand coordication skills in different stations. Students, will play Gaga, which is a n Israeli dodgeball game. See the images and video below:
