We have an exciting month of technology curriculum planned for the students. The 1st grade and 2nd grade students will be participating in circuitry lessons using. Makey Makey. Makey Makey is an electronic invention tool that can be used by students to create remote control keyboards using conductive materials such as tin foil, graphite, fruits, vegetables and even people!
In the 5th grade, students have already created remote control keyboards with Makey makey using materials such as Play-Doh, popsicle sticks and tin foil.

In addition to using Makey Makey, the 5th grade students are using Mozilla Thimble to learn html and java script. Mozilla Thimble is a website that allows students to edit the html tags and java script codes of websites that already exist. Students have learned keywords such as strings, variables and arrays. The first project the students remixed was called the homework excuse generator.
