June 11, 2019

Dear 4-243 Families,

It’s unbelievable how quickly the year goes once we come back from Winter Break. Between testing and Wingspan, it’s a whirlwind and now we are here. Only days left of school.

While we are winding down the year, we still have lots of projects.  The Science Fair on the 12th and then our publishing party on the 19th.  During that celebration for students and families, we will be sharing our independent writing and our Social Studies papers and projects of our US Government unit.

While most of our math work is done for the year, we do still have one last investigation that we will begin very soon.  We are still in book clubs –again, choice clubs by students around author or genre.  Soon to be 5th graders have become quite independent this year–that was our goal!

Here are some details to help the next couple of weeks go smoothly:

Little by little, materials will be sent home.

Report cards will be given out on June 26th, the last day of school.  If you know that your child will not be in school during any of those last days, please send in a note this week to me.  Additionally, if you will not be here on the last day, send in a self addressed stamped envelope so that I can mail the final report card to you.

On June 21st,  we will be celebrating our end of year with a Pizza Party–thanks to the parents and the organization of our class parents Susan and Albana.

Now is the time to check around the house for any books belonging to Lab School. Please send them in asap.

Thank you for your continued support,

Donna
