Tomorrow is 9/11 and the 18th anniversary of September 11, 2001. Yesterday, Governor Andrew Cuomo signed legislation establishing September 11th Remembrance Day. The new state law requires all New York schools to provide a moment of silence, every year on 9/11, to ensure future generations have an understanding of the 9/11 terror attacks and their place in history.
Therefore, tomorrow morning, we will observe a brief period of silence at the beginning of the school day to memorialize the day that changed the course of history for our city, our country and the world. Subsequent discussions and/or questions may follow dependent on the age group.
As always, thank you for your support,
