On Saturday, November 9, 2019, the Ronald McDonald House of New York will hold its 21st Annual Kids Charity Fun Run to benefit the Ronald McDonald House on 405 East 73rd Street. The Ronald McDonald House provides a temporary home to families from all over the country and the world that come to New York City seeking pediatric cancer treatment for their children.
Once again, our school will be participating in this event along with many other schools in the neighborhood. Today you are receiving a registration packet and information on how to register online as a Partner School / Group Team. Signing up as a school guarantees that your shirt and number will be delivered to your classroom the week prior to the run. Do this by October 31st at the latest.
Our presence at this event is well known. We have managed to sustain first place as the school with the most participants for several years over the past 16 years we have participated as a group. We hope Lower Lab will work even harder to be the school that collects the most donations for this important cause. Did you know that to kick off the race, our very own Parent Coordinator Gina Goodman sings the National Anthem?
We encourage you to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to teach your child how to give back to the community and how they can help families that are being challenged by a serious illness. You may register an older or younger sibling, even if they do not attend Lower Lab. Participants must be between the ages of 4 and 17 years old.
You can register under the early bird special by October 18th and your fee will only be $25.00.
As always, we appreciate your support and generosity!

The Ronald McDonald House sent an email to all previous participants reminding them to sign up again. Flyers went home two weeks ago with all the info necessary to register.
