Dear 4th Grade Families,
We are just five months away from our concert in June. I think we are off to a great start. This week we worked on a few measures of the pieces we will be playing for our concert. The name of the pieces are Anthem of Triumph by Tyler Arcari and Subatomic by Larry Clark. I put the sheet music in Ms. Donna’s and Ms. Zoe’s mailboxes to give to the students to practice at home. Students can keep this music at home and don’t have to bring it back and forth. I wanted to share some tips. First, listen to the pieces. I have provided links below for you to listen. This way you will know how the piece sounds and how your part fits in with others. Then you should play Essential Elements #32 as a warm-up because it contains all the notes we are playing within both pieces. Next, practice the sections we worked on in class. In Anthem of Triumph they were measures 43 to the end and in Subatomic they were measures 42 to the end.
